A self-checkout (SCO ) is an automated checkout system that enables customers in the store to scan and pay for their purchases independently, without having to rely on the help of an employee at the POS. The SCO is operated via a large touchscreen. As a rule, a receipt printer and a card terminal for payment by card are also integrated.
In most cases, payment for purchases at self-checkout systems is only possible without cash. However, our LocaFox self-checkout solution also allows you to pay for purchases with cash. This is made possible by the cash recycler (CR), which can be seamlessly connected to the self-checkout.

The technical security device (TSE) is a security module in cash register systems that serves to ensure the complete and unalterable recording of all cash register transactions. The TSE signs each transaction in the cash registers and saves it on a storage medium.
Yes, LocaFox provides you with a cash register system that is equipped with the technical security device (TSE). In addition to the TSE, the LocaFox tablet cash register also complies with the GoBD and KassenSichV regulations.
Everyone who owns a cash register or a digital cash register system is affected by the TSE obligation. Only small businesses that operate an open store cash register have been exempt from the TSE obligation up to now.
The legally required registration is carried out by our service provider Fiskaly, so there is no additional administrative work for you. LocaFox provides you with a tax office-compliant cash register, activates the TSE for you and supports you in setting it up. We also take care of secure data processing and legally compliant reporting to the tax authorities - you don't have to do anything else.
